FBOs with Large Manufacturing Units, Importers, Exporters, Ecommerce, Nutrition – Healthcare – Wellness Products Manufacturers, FBO dealing with Central Government Agencies and all other Large-Scale Food Businesses whose production capacity or turnover is more than certain limit specified by Fssai must obtain FSSAI CENTRAL LICENSE. FBO operating in more than one state should have the FSSAI CENTRAL LICENSE of Head Office.
While FBOs with small to medium-sized Manufacturing Units, Repackers, Relebllers, Cold Storages, Warehouses, Transporters, Distributors, Wholesalers, Retailers, Hotels, Clubs, Restaurants, Café, Canteens, Bakeries, Dairy Parlours, etc. and all other medium-sized food businesses whose Annual Turnover is between certain criteria specified by Fssai must obtain FSSAI STATE LICENSE.
The license is valid for a maximum of 5 years and a minimum of one year.
